An opportunity with one of the most prestigious luxury multi-brand fashion retailers in Dubai has arisen due to company restructure and growth. Brands including Chloe, Missoni, DVF, Matthew Williamson, Oscar de la Renta, Alexander McQueen, Zac Posen and so on bring both local and international customers to store season after season.As Operations Director you will report to the CEO and take ownership of the efficient management of operations in the stores to achieve maximum output and profitability across all functions. You will ensure proper use of resources and deliver the highest levels of customer service, through the effective utilization of the team of circa 160 staff. A focus on immediate support to the UAE region is first and foremost, however the possibility of international support in line with the company’s expansion plans is highly probable.You will require extensive Retail Operations management experience within Fashion in a medium to large organisation. Demonstrate a good understanding of trends and associated industry practices as well as strong communication skills and advanced analytical and problem solving abilities.Experience and/or some understanding of life in Dubai is important.

Description
The Business Development Director (BDD) is accountable to the Global Director, Client Services in identifying and delivering highly qualified and consistent streams of revenue for our New York office. The position has two primary areas of focus: business development (70%) and account management (30%). We are seeking a seasoned professional with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design industry with a background in product development, interaction design or brand communications. The ideal candidate will be inquisitive and thoughtful by nature, possess a high level of business acumen, be articulate in all forms of communication, possesses a pleasant and professional demeanor.From a business development perspective, the BDD will be responsible for creating and executing a marketing and new business plan for the CPG category, including household cleaning, personal care, health and wellness products, as well as food and beverage. This includes the establishment of industry target profiles, prospecting, engaging clients, proposal writing / project planning and closing new business opportunities.From an account management perspective, the BDD will work collaboratively with a dynamic and creative team and provide overall account leadership. The BDD will advise the team on how to build long term relationships with senior level executives and position Smart Design as a trusted adviser. Luxury &Design Management Club-MIP






Our History:
Design and Luxury Management Club was established in May 2008 at the start of the 29th edition of full time MBA program with the help of MIP staff. The goal was to create a social network by leveraging school’s professors, staff, alumni and students and broaden members’ vision. MIP 30th IMBA students are going to continue what started last year.

Our Objective:
We aim to create a professional social network in the luxury and design industry by leveraging the knowledge and network of the school’s professors, alumni and other social resources. Our members will have the opportunity to develop personal career goals, increase and broaden their knowledge pool and create business opportunities between members and industry corporations.

Our Mission:
We put members’ professional growth as the top priority. Our mission is to help every member who wants to start or further career life in luxury and design industry to maximize their potential and achieve their professional goals.

Our Vision:
Our club will integrate the knowledge and resource in and out of MIP to work as a knowledge center of Luxury and Design industry to the benefit of our members.
